維基百科創始人占美威爾斯嘅呼籲
維基百科係全球第五大網站，每月為4.22億人服務，頁面瀏覽人次有幾十億。
商業化唔係過錯，廣告亦都唔係邪惡，但佢哋唔應該響呢度，唔應該響維基百科。
維基百科好特別，佢好似圖書館或者公園，又似座思想嘅廟。佢係畀我哋諗嘢、學嘢同分享知識嘅地方。
當我創辦維基百科嗰陣，我可以將佢變成有廣告嘅牟利網站，但我最後決定唔咁做。我哋一路都努力令佢慳錢。我哋做到我哋嘅目標，而浪費就留畀其他人做。
如果每個睇到呢篇文嘅人都捐5蚊美金，一日嘅捐款夠我哋一年使費。可惜唔係個個人都能夠或者願意捐錢。咁都無所謂。每年都有足夠人去捐錢。
今年請考慮捐5蚊美金、50蚊港紙或者任何你想捐嘅金額去撐維基百科可以繼續搞落去。
